- BROWN posted by Mary Sejkora on August 10, 2000
Looking for the parents and/or siblings of Permelia BROWN. According to her obituary, she was born in Palestine,
Crawford County, IL on October 19, 1819. There is an Alexander BROWN enumerated in the 1820 Census for Crawford
County and I believe this to be her father. If he is then Permelia had two older brothers. Alexander is listed as
being between 16 & 26, as is his wife, so there were quite possibly more children.
